TUNES for 2007 in performance order
Dear Friends,
I have made new mp3 files of all of our tunes, but files are large and some of them will not upload.
So here are 5 new files and the rest are same as before with all their flaws.
The tempi shown below are what we decided on in rehearsals. New tempi are slightly different
from before and they may not necessarily be what you hear in the older audio files.
The Dark Island--quarter note = 80
Childgrove--quarter note = 88
Captain O'Kean--dotted quarter note = 84
Castle of Dromore--dotted half note = 42
Cold and Raw--quarter note = 84
Petronella--quarter note = 72
To Drive the Cold Winter Away--eighth note = 60
Greensleeves--eighth note = 60
The Queen's Marsh--quarter note = 72
An Island Spinning Song--quarter note = 72
Shule Agra--quarter note = 80
Shule Aroon--quarter note = 80
Vasija de Barro--Linda solo
Southwind--dotted half note = 42 [still sounds funny]

PERFORMANCE DRESS
FOR MASSED HARPS ENSEMBLE on 3/15/2007
This event will be a little "dress-y" but not formal [except for narrator/emcee who will wear a tux].
Please wear mostly black -- black shoes, black hose, black slacks or long skirts.
Tops can be a dark jewel-tone color such as deep burgundy, navy blue, forest/hunter green, royal purple, deep gold, burnt copper.
Women might wear a black Tee topped with a beautiful scarf, shawl or jacket in dark jewel tones.
Solid colors will work best. However, since our story is about weaving, anything woven, such as a Scottish plaid, would be appropriate.
Please -- no really bright colors, no jeans, no bare midriffs, no low decolletages. Thanks.
